Why does the offending player not get thrown out of the game?

I think it would add something to the game.

This has nothing to do with two of my best players being victims of flagrant fouls that led to their sitting out for the rest of my last 2 games!

FIBA rules:
Two unsportsmanlike fouls (flagrant foul 1 in NBA) lead to automatic ejection -> BB rule.
Fiba disqualifying foul (flagrant foul 2 in NBA) are straight ejections but those are quite uncommon and thus, the rule is fine as it is.

yer its just following standard rules

players being ejected is pretty rare. but so are flagrant fouls.

flagrant often lead to injury - id like to see more flagrant, (and hence more ejections) but a smaller flagrant-injury ratio
