Hi Canada. First things, special thanks to Sparky for holding down the fort the past couple seasons. You did a great job and I hope I can be a worth successor. Next, thanks to all the candidates in the election who showed that the support for the U21 team is far from dead. I'm very honored that as many of you voted for me as you did, especially given the fact that I tend to be introverted and I am not a huge poster. I do hope to try to be more active as now I've got a great reason to post a bit more, but my main goal is to showcase the training skills of the great Canadian managers that we have. Hope to do some scouting in the next couple of days and possibly utilize the offsite to talk about the roster before its finalized. I really hope that by the end of the season we have a full squad of 18 players to ensure as many people get their player some U21 minutes as possible.

Finally, but not least, I would like to ask the community if there is any one that will be willing to help out with the various roles and decisions required of the U21 manager it would be greatly appreciated. Essentially you can do anything to help out, but stuff like scouting of opponents, tactics and team selection of course are time consuming and it would be great if I had a couple players to bounce ideas off of. You can reply here or hit me up a bbmail, either suggesting what you would like to do, or allowing me to choose something for you to help out with. Ok, I think that is all. Thanks again for the opportunity and Go Canada!

Now I think as a first request for this new U21 season, can somebody post the link to the offsite and directions on how you go about accessing it?
the more managers we have on it the better right?
thanks in advance!

Alright some updates on the offsite of player stats and potential line ups. Feedback would be great and if there are any managers who think their player might have a shot, hit me a bbmail. Cheers, Green.

Ok guys, so getting ready to pick the team for the start of the season.

Anyone, who has a 21 year old player who has got scouted this season, please remember to try to get between about 55 - 70 minutes for the player per week (including training)! This will help his chances at selection, and also give him better stats if he does play!

Some surprises with GS mean that some of our best players are not in shape to play, so we may go with a bit more of skeleton crew than I had hoped for the first game and flesh it out a bit more next week depending on if some players can get the GS up.

Also, wanted to shine a bit of light on the "Trainer of the Week" which I hope to do every week. This will outline a manager of U-21 or potential U-21 players who have had a great week of training (and good GS too!). This week the award is a tie going to:

Vyktor Salabon - Manager - Nebeski Hodaci (119614) - 1 Pop and good minutes!
Jean-Loup Breton - The Hounds (25054) - 1 Pop and good minutes

Going forward, the list will be limited to players on the team and those who send updates so that I can see as after this weekend I won't be able to scout for a while. So great work again to Canadian Manager The Hounds and international manager Nebeski Hodaci for being the trainers of the week!

Cheers,
Green.

Green, What are Colesby skills? He wasn't in the list of 17 players you posted last week
You didn't put anything on the offsite and we want to help out on tactics and players.
Isn't that what you guys criticized me about.
I always had everything on the offsite the day before and came to this forum to warn you guys and to ask for advice.

Hey Sparky, will post it on off site now along with tactics for your feedback. Had added a couple players based on the scouting and just hadn't put it on off site as yet but will be there soon.

Ok guys, one game and one win! Will be posting strats on offsite this weekend but for now props to....

Zbigniew Gawlas and his manager (143964) for getting almost exactly 60 minutes and 2 pops this week!

Darryl Poole and his manager (33559) for great minutes management and one pop!

Also though some might be interested in the number of pops per week in the team so here they are:

Week 1 - 10 players, 6 pops
Week 2 - 12 players, 6 pops

Not too bad really....half a pop a week per player...if we keep it up all season we will be golden!

Also big up to all the managers who showed the Canada love by working hard to keep the player minutes between 50 - 70 to help with the game shape. Just one proficient GS this week (Thanks HTG) but a definate trend in the right direction. One or two weeks of good minutes and we should have the team pumping! Cheers.
