Just had a player go 48 minutes with a backup (of equal or better talent) on the bench. ("Did Not Play - coach's decision.") And the one who played went 0-15 from the field, until a couple of garbage baskets in the final minute.

Why?

It is. Orders were "Strictly Follow." I see where GS is a factor. Wouldn't think it's a 48-0 factor, but maybe so.

I guess I had a different understanding of what "strictly follow depth chart" means. I would think it means the sub comes in the game when my starter is tired, and certainly when he is 0 for 15 shooting. This is the first time in 3 seasons I've had a starter go 48 minutes with a backup set (and I always use "Strictly Follow") and the worst performance ever by a starter. Just seems odd those would happen at the same time.

So would "Let Coach Decide" be the best option for making the coach follow the depth chart?

Try Coach Picks from Depth Chart. It generally works just fine for me.

Stamina is the most important factor for minutes distribution. I expect Your player has ST>=7.
Sometimes bad luck matters, for example no whistles in last 3-5 minutes in quarter.
