Inter conference play has ended. blah blah. Time for a new edition of my POWER RANKINGS !
1. Flex Zone Stars - Previous Ranking #5 /// +4
The league table doesn't lie. His team have been terrifying in the backcourt, especially the all star game MVP, his SF Andreani (whom i almost bought myself hehe, too bad I didnt have the cash at the time). Got a decent bigman to defend in the paint, but still not the best team in the paint, but his backcourt is strong, with Billy, an all round good SG, Ray Ornelas, who is like rondo, and andreani, the SF apparently no one can defend. 2nd least points allowed, but I'd say overall he does have the best DEFENSE in the league.
2. lol lol - Previous Ranking #1 /// -1
this guy's bigmen are RIDICULOUS. No one can beat them. They've dominated EVERY team in the paint. His SG contributes as well, and his SF is a hard worker. The PG gets lost between all these stars. But a surprise loss to Flex Zone, whom has also made up ground in point difference and passed them leaves him in 2nd place in the strong Great 8 conference. The 2nd most POTENT offense in the league, averaging 112.3 PPG which is quite extraordinary
3. Trinidad and Tobago Iguanas - Previous Ranking #4 /// +1
Statistically, the best defensive team in the league. Been struggling a little, despite pulling out the wins, since Roata and Simpson, the two bigmen have been playing out of position to train their secondary skills. Never mind that though, Zalan has been an EXCELLENT addition, carrying us to victories during this time period. Averaging 32 ppg in 9 games. He's 1 game away from the leaderboards. Zalan, a complete SF, who has been utilized at basically EVERY position so far, may possibly be the best SF in the league. Unguardable, just like Andreani, and they will face off on saturday.
since Zalan actually doesnt play at SF though, Chen Sui Hung does, the guy who drops dimes 24/7 for his teammates, i'd say that is our weakest position. Chen is like a Rondo, except he does have the odd high scoring game. Surpasses Green Peppers, evident with an 88-82 win on tuesday, despite struggling right now.
4. Green Peppers - Previous ranking #3 /// -1
I doubt anyone will unseat Green Peppers from the #1 seed in big 8 this season. Full of scorers, Castel and Brito especially. Acquired a few players, I haven't seen much of them. I still think right now they're probably easily below the top 3, but easily above the rest of the league as well. Somewhere in between, needs some improvements to challenge the Great 8 monsters.
5. WASHINGTON GENERALS !!! - Previous ranking #7 /// +2
the most improved team imo. Randolf Fleck seems unguardable right now. Up there among the best buys so far in the season. I think he could topple Green Pepper's reign and make the finals this season if his team keeps it up. No real standouts except Fleck. His team is balanced, and has the highest number of assists in the league (thanks buzzer manager for that stat). I still think his paint game could use a little work, especially if he wants to challenge teams like lol lol, or Iguanas come the playoffs.
well done generals, that's 1-5
