Hello guys, I just had a relatively good addition to the game, tell me what you think.

Ok, so I'm not just some noob posting in the game, I've been in and out of this game for years and I know damn well how shitty it feels to waste a good draft pick on wasted potential (which is progressing with the new and improved scouting options) but let's say you're the one less fortunate people who maybe had a great season and probably missed the championship game with a llack of depth from the bench of an already powerful starting squad or perhaps, maybe, your team is just mediocre and you want to rebuild, and at draft end you get a role player. Ok, so you now have a potential role player, you dont really want to keep him and you'll basically sell him for a penny in the auctions so the whole thing is technically a waste of time.

So what I'm thinking about is a system where when you have a low potential player and you decide to keep him there should be an addititon where if he has an exceptionally great game there should be a small % boost of potentual he gains per significant games.

I think there could be different gains per potential. This whole idea came to life in my mind because I see players coming out of college or internationally who aren't projected to be what they inevitsably would themselves to becomne, I don't think anyone though Serge Ibaka would be where he is today or did we think Vucevic would be the double double machine he is today. Let me know what you think, it was just a thought.

I mean it doesn't have to be definitive yet but the idea would allow people who weren't hyped out of wherever they came from can develope it in the league. Option A , his potential would go up, very slightly depending on the type of game he had; multiple triple doubles, I think it's safe to assume that instead of being a potential role player, you can be on my starting roster and surpass the prior expectations. Im not saying every player should have it, just like a few people out of the draft selected randomly

A couple of years ago I made a Suggestion, that we should be able to build facilities that have certain effects, one of those would be some kind of training facility, that raises the potential level of your players by X.

So let's say we had like three levels of this facility it would be like

Lvl 1 + 0,5 Potential (500k)
Lvl 2 + 0,3 Potential (750k)
Lvl 3 + 0,2 Potential (1000k)

that way, Allstar potential suddenly becomes useful again and everything above superstar could be really great - thats what superstars were supposed to be, I guess.

Prices on rookies would decline and small countries could somewhat compensate their lack of talent.

I like the idea of slightly increasing the potential for your drafties if you keep training them. It's like a boost to the draft, but only if you train your own players. Leaving apart medium and high potential players(4-5 stars), it could increase the number of 3 star players that actually get training.
How much more potential? 1 level up. That extra level is only shown to you.
I think the players you used as an example aren't the best. I am thinking more about late second rounds, undrafted players that make it to the NBA like:
Udonis Haslem
Raja Bell
Jose Calderón
Avery Johnson
Brad Miller
Bruce Bowen
Ben Wallace
Gary Neal
Jeremy Lin

Late second draft:
Isaiah Thomas (60th pick, 2011)
Danny Green (46th pick, 2009)
Patty Mills (55th pick, 2009)
Goran Dragic (45th pick, 2008)
Marc Gasol (48th pick, 2007)
Paul Millsap (47th pick, 2006)
Marcin Gortat (57th pick, 2005)
Kyle Korver (51st pick, 2003)
Luis Scola (56th pick, 2002)
Manu Ginobili (57th pick, 1999)
Steve Kerr (50th pick, 1988)
