Season 31 will oficially kick off on coming Saturday May 2th 2015 !

First of all, let me say on behalf of all BBBL teams, big congratz for Joe for winning once again "the double" in season 30. And not only this, but frequently Joe and his amazing team were recently ranked numero uno on the worldwide Buzzerbeater ranking, which is something we all can be proud of. Keep it up Joe !

Previous season 30 ended with 2 relegating teams in either conference, cfr. Paros Bulls and Antwerp Angels in the blue conference (aka The Deep Blue Conference), and BCU Ganshoren and TBS Wolves in the red conference (aka The Bloodred Conference).
TBS Wolves particularly is a sad story, because we haven't heard from this manager in a long time now, and the team meanwhile has automatically been botified. This, while for many seasons, TBS Wolves has been a real challenger for teams like Vottem Cowboys and Kelmis Spartans on the red side. We have never heard since from this manager, so we can just hope everything is OK with him.

Four relegating teams naturally also means 4 promoting teams to the BBBL. On the red side we welcome back Polle (KV Forever) after spending only 1 season in division II after his BBBL relegation, so a very fast comeback from Polle, who proved too strong for division II. The other team is ...yes yes yes... Coach Q (Basket Mizu Arlon) who pretty much doesn't need any introduction as this has been one of the strongest Belgian teams in most of Buzzerbeater history ! Coach Q has an amazing palmares and has won the Belgian Cup 3 times, also has 3 BBBL Championships and 2 MVP BBBL titles to his name ! Need i say more, this is a team to be reckoned with...and Joe knows it. The only question about Arlon that remains is... what is Coach Q capable of after spending 2 seasons in division II after his BBBL relegation 3 seasons ago. Will he be an immediate challenger again for Joe or will he need time to adjust to the BBBL after just coming back. It's anyones guess and we will have to wait to find it out.
Now, on the blue side we welcome back Tms with his team TumaSStars after being relegated from BBBL to division II 5 seasons ago, and struggling for four seasons in division II to make it back to the BBBL. TumaSStars has always been a team with quality and no team on the blue side has to think this will be an easy prey for them. Above all, the return of TumaSStars after the hard struggle in division II shows that it's manager has strong character and will be eager for success to regain it's team place in the BBBL. And finally... but not least... we wellcome a team that makes it to the BBBL for the very first time in its history : Les Gringalets managed by LePape... I sure hope it's not the real Pope or we have some serious business on our hands ! Les Gringalets was founded in season 23 and has made a steady upward evolution ever since. LePape started in division III, after 5 seasons made it to division II and after another 5 seasons now has made it to the BBBL. History has shown that many newcomers have a hard time in their first BBBL season. Will Les Gringalets be an exception to this rule ? Only time will tell...

So all in all, season 31 promises to be a very exciting season, with different things to keep our eye on. So good luck to all teams and may the best team win !

Finally, i made a poll to see who the managers think will capture the BBBL title this season. I've included the top 4 from each conference of last season, and made an exception by adding Basket Mizu Arlon as an outsider because of his impressive palmares and his history. Feel free to say who you voted for and why. Poll closes one month after the start of season 31.
So managers...cast your vote please

Also, what do you think will be the PO final this season, feel free to share your opinion on this topic.

Let the games begin !

The cowboys ....once again are the true champions.
Joe's team is still the most impressive.

How can we reach the top ? That's the question as long as Joe will be the champ.
We can train, we can buy ,we can hope, we can pray....But will it ever be enough to beat the cowboys ?

Besides that: Good luck to everyone....good Luck Joe too (because he's one of the Belgian managers to be proud of.)

Ah ah, at least it's more than honest :p

I have no chance of competing for a title, thus I'm wondering what I can do with my team. With Sekulic and Vekemans leaving I am getting rid of 2 wonderful players who have helped me enormously, and I don't think I'll find suitable replacement for them.

Maybe it's time rebuilding. On the other hand, Jacoby Vaes and Claeys still have some good seasons ahead of them.

Tough call ...

All things considered, if having injury trouble this season avoids me getting some next one, I'll take it.

Of course, this cost me the game at Obira, but nothing I can do about it ... This doesn't matter much this season.

Thanks for this nice introduction.

Thanks Joe, at least i get some appreciation from you for the effort.
It just makes me little bit sad, that after such introduction, which i have been preparing before to get all the statistics right, does not even get one single +1.
Well, OK, I guess everything gets taken for granted, no problem we go on...
