I suggest BBs remove the block to indirect transfers from Utopia to main teams under strict limits or penalties. Most people would like to get back or move a player for sentimental reasons.
The easier option would be to maintain the ban to direct transfers (as that's more likely to disguise a cash transfer between teams), but to allow indirect tranfers, if at least [6] or [8] seasons have gone by between the sale from one team and the purchase by the other team. An automatic, time-limited, lock should replace the current unlimited lock that prevents you from bidding at all.
Alternatively, I think direct transfers could be allowed provided the there is a huge economic penalty attached to them. For example, you could tax the purchasing team by 200% of the winning bid and the selling team by granting only 50% of the second best (indipendent) bid. So for example if I win the bid on my Utopia team player with $100,000 and the second best bid was $50,000, I will pay $300,000, and my second team will receive $25k before taxes. if there is no second bid the selling team receives nothing. In addition, I would not allow a bid which could make a team go in the red due to the penalties (in my example if I had $120,000, I'd end up with a -$180,000 balance). A lock should prevent this from happening.
