I currently have 4 19 year old trainees, a 20 year old trainee who is close to capping (he is homegrown and I hope will be a good cup player)- so I have a space left.

Should I train him? I badly want more merchandise, and I figure if I can get his primaries up, he could make the national team.

yes. As long as he more or less works with your other trainees.

For starters. Merchandise he will bring. If he makes NT for Viet Nam, another added bonus.
sure the 33 TSP sucks... and 8 at Guard.. But, only really the passing and OD aren't easily fixed.

Personally, should you sell him, I guarentee you I would make an offer at him. Cause at the very least his needs match up to what I am doing to a trainee I got this season.

He's a fixer upper that's all.

A little 1v1 forwards. some OD training and passing training at some point, and then primary pounding and he's good as ever.

With secondaries that bad I wouldn't be training him.

I agree. Sell him and get a better trainee.

I would not train him because secondaries are horrible. However, if you were to train him, he will train really fast because of his height, but he will become a one-sided player. Then selling him after that would make sense to make a profit. You should consider player quality over whether he can make the NT and the merchandise he can bring you.

To be honest, I would train him as he's good for Vietnam U21 or NT. It is difficult to find quality potential young players for small country, so I prefer keeping him rather than selling him.

Never mind, sell him and use that income to buy stronger player(s), so you will keep winning games and increase the merchandising income. :)

Thanks all!

I ended up selling him (for 400 k) and I'm using the money to expand my arena. I don't have a hope of competing until I can hit 20,000 seats (and I've got 5 good trainees)

That's probably the best decision, especially it will help you to catch up faster. Good luck!
