92 - 66 = your penalty

You pay your current salary total or the salary floor, whichever is higher. New teams are exempted for 1 season.

edit: also, the search feature for the forums aren't very good but try this neat trick: go to Google and search for site:www.buzzerbeater.com <search terms>.

THANKS GUYS! I get it now. seems like its best if i wait a season and train these young guys (since no penalty first 16 weeks in new league). hopefully be end of the season these kids will have higher salaries due to training

I don't think it resets when you get to a new league, just when you sign up for a team for the first time. Sorry if I wasn't clear in my previous post.

The salary floor is set for you league based. In Div II, the salary floor is: 185,000 per week salary.

Salary payouts are calculated at either your current salary or the salary floor. Whatever is higher.

So if you are under your salary, there is no reason not to pick up some players if you think you can win a few games. Remember that winning the game before your home game (usually the away game) is critical to maximizing your fan rating and your income.

Right, I'm just saying that you don't ignore the salary floor each time you promote, only when you first get a team. Also, you can determine the salary floor from your tv revenue. I don't remember the exact calculation, but I think it's 100% in D.III. It's something like 80% or 90% in D.IV and 110% or 120% in D.II. I think Ham can tell us how it relates in their league. Also, both numbers vary by league based on total salaries for teams at the start of the season.

yeah ive been trying to build for the future (since i realized i wont be winning a championship in D3) sold off my starting lineup and some key backups to teach these young guys some new things...been trying to pick up some players ever since i found out about the salary floor but its so tough to buy a player for the right price.

Just for everyone's knowledge:

This season in Div II.

-- TV Revenue is 132k
-- Salary Floor 185k (non issue really)
-- Mechanizing revenue: 65k (at least for me)

Maybe only slightly overpaid for Berthelon. You got great deals on your older PF's when the season wrapped up so its pretty much free money. Two new trainees are studs, and im sure you realize you have PG and PF to train simultaneously. Shouldnt be a big deal since they are both 6'7". Its tough down in III isnt it? Whole diff ballgame. Hang in there, and stay in there..
