So one question that I have is about substitution. I played Buzzerbeater before for a bit, but decided to come back with a new team. One thing that I was never sure of was the substitution setting. Essentially, what is the best setting? I don't want to let Coach decide because he might do something dumb. Same thing with depth chart until 4th. I am unsure of whether to go with Coach picks from depth chart. I normally used strictly follow depth chart, but that led to my starters playing almost all of the game when my bench was decent. So, what sub settings would you all recommend?

I always hear that all the settings are broken anyway.

Pick from DC might be fine if you want bench minutes and aren't trying to lock any starters in for 48 minutes. Just make sure not to have any bench players not in your DC or it might still use those guys.

Strictly follow is best used for training if you want to get your trainees 48 minutes in a single game by setting them to all 3 slots for that position. If you're looking for bench minutes, this strategy may not be for you. Though you could set both bench slots per position to the same guy and hope that gets him in. Doing that, I usually get ~35 minutes for starters and ~13 for bench players

LCD with a well presented 8-9 man rotation tends to get the results I seek. But if it is about ensuring training minutes then strict is the route to take.

By well represented I mean of a quality that is a slight level below the starter but still able to hold their own, those are the guys who i notice get decent minutes and help the starters stay fresh.
