Can we get referees who can't be bribed or are impartial? From season to season in every single game, even against computer managed teams my players apparently "foul" a lot more often than the opponent and while this is highly unrealistic it also gets a bit old and tiresome. If it happens a few times I would say it's just how the cookie crumbles but if it happens every time then there is obviously something rotten in the sate of Denmark.

It seems that each player has a hidden feature called agressiveness. Maybe your main players' agressiveness is rather high. That's why they tend to make fouls more often than others.

Well, if you're a good defender you're a good defender I would have thought. If there really is a hidden feature then it's something you have no influence on and it makes the outcome very much a gamble. A coin toss would have the same effect and only takes a few seconds instead of a match of 1:35.
Why should I buy good players when they all have the hidden feature? Why do I think about a line-up and strategy when the hidden feature makes all the effort I put in it void? Why do only have those players but my opponents never ever do?
Still think it makes no sense and proper refs should call the games. It's ridiculous.

Ok thanks for that explanation, though over the course of the several seasons I've played I would not say it's balanced. And by that I am even ignoring the "tactical" fouls.
I still think the fouling does not make any sense at all but fair enough.

You make an interesting point here. I have one player who usually gets in foul trouble early on (Sometimes it is not the amount of fouls per game but the targeting of players to get in foul trouble). Since he is on the team one or the other do get in foul trouble while I do not see this happening to my opponents. I usually use man-to-man, 3-2 or 2-3 defense.
What exactly is ST and SB ?

I just think the fouling system is not realistic. Good defenders foul less, the weaker their opponent the less they foul etc etc but there is nothing I can do about it seems.

On average I'd say my starters have stamina and shot blocking in the vicinity of inept - mediocre.

It is my feeling that early on someone is being chosen and once he's in foul trouble it varies between moving on to another player or leaving him as the only one. 50-50 I'd say.

But yesterday was the worst I've ever seen when pretty much everyone was targeted to get in foul trouble.
