This probably goes in the untenable pile but if BB went from 16 team leagues to 20 the benefits would be immense. to accomplish such a feat is easy, one season sans relegation fills the extra slots from III on up and for IV's I think everyone can move in just a little bit closer.

it would only add three weeks to the calendar if you stayed with the same scheduling formula , plus this allows the powers that be to kill off that infernal and needless all star week, Most importantly it would be a full three weeks of training to help improve players, and the dearth of quality young players is the overriding concern of many in this community.

Far as the playoffs are concerned, just go all out social promotion and have the top 8 teams in each conference qualify, yes that means 16 of 20 teams make the playoffs....so what. But the bottom 4 automatically go out, sorry, sucks to be you. The cup will be done everywhere by the time the season would come to a close so making that fist week of playoffs a Tu-Th-Sat affair is not out of order.

I agree with you.
The important thing of your suggestion is to have more weeks to train players, that would be fantastic!

I don't like it. Maybe smaller leagues with a stretched schedule of 2 games against each team could do the same trick but at the same time ease the pain of smaller nations.

I'm not sure a longer season is what most people would want.
