Hello friends, I’m posting here a suggestion to the game that was brought up in our national forum, and got a lot of supporters:
The Idea is to add some interest to the Franchise Player that was announced at the begining of the season. This idea is a combination of a few suggestions:

1. The manager will choose the Name of the Player. Just like you can change the face of the draftees at the begining of the season you could change the name of your franchise player. This will add a lot of fun, we believe.
2. The manager will choose the position of the player. The original idea was that the manager will choose the attributes of the player, but this will be bad for new managers who don’t understand the game yet. Instead, they will only choose the position, and the game engine will pick the attributes and height.
3. The potential will be Perennial Allstar. We all agree that just Allstar potential is not enough to make a good franchise player.
4. Old managers will have the option to get a franchise player too, maybe for a cost of a few draft points.

I like letting them customize the franchise player but the problem with allowing them to choose the name is that it's hard to prevent managers from choosing innappropriate names and such.

Also I don't think that we will ever allow old teams to buy a player like this

It could be part of the signing process, and therefor will have to be reviewed before signing anyway.

first of all - i must say that it can be really fun to see in my team a player with my name.
in addition, the main idea was that every team can get/buy a player only once(!) in.. let's say.. 10 seasons, or maybe until the previous retired.

this player will be not allow to play in the national teams. that it will be unfair.
obviously, everyone will want to creat the player at the age of 18 and then he will be in the tean for al long time. but, if someone want to creat the player at the age of.. 25 for examle when the player is more experienced, he can but the player will be in the team short time..
and i want to add something that could make it fun and interesting even more -
for example - i want to creat the player at the age of 18. then i have a ceratin number of TSP that the player can have and i will be able to divide it in the attributes as i want. of course, i can make him legandary in someting but that mean that he will be atrocious in almost everything else.
if i want to creat the player older - the player will have a bigger number of TSP.

about new managers - first of all this idea can bring some.. we need more managers.
beside, we can make a guide that will help them like the training guides. i can help to do that.

why is that?

It is no problem to have a team with a trademark/copyright teamname, but generating a real name person is problematic. I don't get the logic behind that, but as we all don't know american law, we probably should just accept that.

never mind.. we can instead choose a name from a list that we get.

Did any company or team sue so far? Why are there no objections to this part?
