Welcome one and all! FML Radio has been broadcasting on all USA channels recently. What better way to show our patioticity (is that a word?) than to talk about our USA National Team?
The clear expert on our team right now is head coach Isaiah who manages his team Smallfries on the side. Isaiah won the election for the National Team manager position in Season 33 by a margin of 50 votes over SherlockH. He also defeated the Flash Mashers in the finals in Div 4 back in Season 15. Give it up!

Chek: Welcome to FML Radio! Isaiah: Hey!
Chek: Tell us a bit about yourself!Isa: I was born and raised in Indiana and still live here today. I am a credit analyst by day and a husband at night. I am completely addicted to basketball, whether it is watching it, playing it, talking about, or writing about it.
Chek: How is the National Team doing right now?Isa: The National Team is doing alright. Definitely haven't performed very well to start this season. Some of that has to do with my decision making, and I am not afraid to admit that. Our group is very tough with really only two games that we are really favored for. This is quite a change from the Americas tournament when we really just stormed through the tournament besides the game we lost on purpose. I'm really looking forward to see how this team performs though over the next few games as it will give us a good idea where we stand moving into the second round (assuming we are there).
Chek: In his famous âFreedom Isnât Free Speechâ jfarb asked USA managers to purchase USA NT players. What is the benefit of having our players stay on American soil?Isa: As a NT manager, it is always nice to be communicating with individuals who are from the same country and have similar goals. We have some great foreign managers out there who have done a great job, but they truly don't have the same desires as the USA managers.
Chek: The lowest paid players on the NT are still paid 100k/week or more. How can users in D4 or D3 that canât afford that still help out the NT?Isa: Simply put, by training studs at a young age. D4 and D3 managers have the perfect opportunity to trains guys out of position while still competing. By training studs out of position you have basically done the leg work for future owners. Then you can sell these players for a great price to USA managers in D.II and NBBA levels and use the money to either benefit your team to possibly promote. or you can use the money to train more studs. It ends up being a win-win for your personal team and for the NT :).
Chek: Why smallfries? Why not bigfries? Do you like your fries with Ketchup? Salted or not salted? Do you dip them in frostyâs? Is this too much about fries?Isa: I really tried to come up with a sarcastic remark here, but I'm no ADub, Hrudey, Moflaffle, etc. haha. But really, my nickname growing up was smallfry so I used that for my team name. But I sure do love french fries, especially when they have been salted and dipped in a nice chocolate frosty.
Chek: Do you put more effort in to your own club or the NT and which do you enjoy managing more?Isa: In all honesty, I haven't paid much attention to my own team in probably three seasons. I'm pretty sure I haven't set a lineup in three league games this season. As far as the most enjoyable, itâs the NT. I love interacting with other managers and hearing their opinions...FYI-everyone should contribute to the game threads! I just wish the offsite tools worked so we could get some better analysis on the pricks we are playing.
