Here is my idea for merging nations. I would like it to be known that as a macro I am in favor of merging of all in order to restructure, and every current nation remains with their current flag on their team.

The basics are that every country would merge with AT LEAST 1 other. The merged countries create a Region. The Region is who you compete against in the Cup. Each Region would be further broken down into 2-6 Territories. Countries with 350-500(Numbers I decided on for the purpose of at least filling 3 divisions), would remain their own territory, with the remaining nations dividing into the others. Your territory is your NT. Territories as I’ve broken them down consist of 323-487 teams. Users would then have a Nation Flag and a Territory Flag on their team and drafted players.

I would think teams would be allowed to have a voice in what Territory within their Region they would prefer. As an example, for the North America Region consisting of USA and Canada, there would be 4 Regions. Just for sake of simplicity, NW NE SW & SE. I would get to order them by preference going SW NW NE SE.

The way I have it broken down would result in 12 Regions and 48 Territories, excluding Utopia.

Here is how I have it broken down. As with BB-Ryan, Region names are just what I came up with to help me keep them organized. Users would also be able to vote/create their own Territory names and flags.

Correct. I just used the numbers to break them into filling at least 3 divisions(series) in order to keep a decent number of Div 1s with the 49 Territories. BBs or someone smarter than me could come up a better way to break them up to try and fill 4 divisions(series).

For Italy-Malta as an example, each Territory would have 458 teams, more than filling 3 divisions(series).

My mistake. Could a GM or EGM move this to the Suggestions for me?

My reasoning for the Territory Teams was that if they were Region Teams it would only be 12. By having the "TT"s there is a larger competition.

The double flag isn't something I'm in favor of. But it seems to be a big deal-breaker for a lot of users in the Micro Merger thread.

Because then they would have to code the drafts in each Region to become that NT. Admittedly, you would have to write similar code for double-flags, which as I said I am against if people will concede their national flags.

And the biggest reason for me is to create parity for the NT competitions as league competitiveness increases with merged leagues. Players from Jamaica and Luxumburg and South Africa would be able to contribute to NTs that have a competitive chance at more than 1-3 wins a season and moral victories.
