I'm pretty new to Buzzer Beater. I've been reading the forums a lot, and have read quite a few training strategies. What do you think of this, and any suggestions? I thought before I even start deciding who and what to train that I'd give a few weeks of both free throws and stamina training. At least 2 weeks of each, maybe more. It just seems to me that I need my team as whole needs to have both of those up to par. Maybe not too much fun at first, but I hope it will pay dividends in the long run. What say you?

If I were you, I would begin immediately training 1v1 Forwards for the rest of the season with every player you have that is 18 or 19 and has at least All-Star potential.

It will allow you to train 6 players while getting pops in JS HA DR & IS with cross-training as well. You should see a lot of pops for your team each week.

Strongly disagree I got trained a player to 130 TSP and another to 120 with 1 and 2 ST respectively. ST rarely had an impact IMHO in getting 48+. You can also very easily set up a 5 man training rotation if getting 48+ is an issue. The only time I would consider training ST is during a two-game week or after firing a trainer since team training trains at the same rate for all trainer levels. You also have to factor in the impact of ST training on the rest of your team.

If you train 6 guys, the 6th guy should be your "redheaded stepchild". Just pick up a cheap 18 and 19 year old cheaply off the TL and sell at the end of the season. If one player doesn't get 48, this guy doesn't get as many training minutes during your scrim. Even if you get only a couple pops they will generate a profit

Yeah, though I'm new and have no hard facts to point to, I still suspect there is probably a host of residual effects by having a decent stamina. At least I hope so...lo! It just seems to me that in the long run its a small price to pay with a potential winfall of benefits? We'll see. I'll come back in a year and tell everyone whats up!
