Hi,

Because of my training plan i have to play my power forward in point guard position.

I would like to ask which is the best tactics (motion, R'n'G,) to play without a pure point guard.

Thanks in advance.

I think it depends on your guys secondary skills. If he has ok HA/DR/PA you could use inside offense and take advantage of his IS against a guard. If that is not an option then I think patient is the best offense without an ideal PG. Who ever is your shooter will still get shots with a high flow option at PG and you can put your shooter at a big spot and d-switch with your PF.

Maybe outside (or inside) iso? Your best guard at SG or SF should still run most stuff then.

If your PF can either shoot (JS/JR) or pass, things will be less painful whatever tactic you use.

The best attributes are Handling/Driving, Inside Shot is still low but in the future i could use it to finish at the rim.

For now, i will try "Look Inside" to use my strong inside players.

But thanks for the advice in D-Switch, i will definitely work on that..

(31174364) My PF plays guard positions, and he likes "low post" a lot.

I use "Outside isolation" a lot.

I generally agree with that assessment but I think that patient is an exception to that rule. My patient shooter generally gets alot of shot regardless of the flow at PG.
