Here is a match example of what has happened too many times in the past.

The optimal lineup is out of the game during prime 4th quarter minutes (the last four), and then at the start of OT the bench is again used, not subbing out until only a minute or so to go.

My proposal is that the starters are placed back into the game for the final four minutes of every close game (unless they have five fouls or really bad stamina where the bench player is truly the better player at that time due to fatigue), and then again at the start of OT.

thats the problem sometimes in BB , You are in a lead ,its Garbage time , bench subbed in , starters out. Its 4th quarter , Your opponent is keeping up , ended up as OT , No more garbage time but still no adjustment in line-ups , (even if theres no foul troubles or stamina problems) Most probably you'll end up losing the game. Im not that kind of an expert in BB, ive been here for 3 seasons. but i dont think this happens upon how you set your line-up and your subs. opt. , Even if this occur 1/10 games , its pretty annoying specially if you experience this on a very important game.

This don't happen

your subs enter the game when you are 25 up in the 4th (garbage time)

when the diference lows to 10 your starters go back to the field

Also.. you don't want to get annoyed by the garbage time? Get better subs

Howl to the Moon, you won't regret it.

That actually does happen.

Subs enter when you're up by 20 in the 4th or late in the 3rd, and then when your starters go back in can vary widely, but often it's when the lead is around 10 and sometimes that's too late. The other team has momentum and your starters can't hold them off.

Anyhow, this thread isn't about that.
It's about how the coach doesn't play the best lineup near the end of the game, in a close game (not garbage time), and also then plays your reserves to start the OT. It's very frustrating, to say the least.
