Hey, guys, Leadfoot here of 2 Left Feet. And, yes, that does refer to my dancing ability. Glad to be here in III.8. Spent about 4 seasons here, way back to the early 20's. See 1 or 2 familiar names, good to see them again. Ready for a fun, competitive season. Luck to all.

Hey Leadfoot,

We played together back in season 21, Div IV.58. I knew I remembered your name. I just promoted to this league as well and have been bopping back and forth between Div 3 and 4. Welcome aboard and good luck.

LOL, yours is 1 of the names that looked familiar, along with Stanton Stallions and Midwest Bulldogs (although not in a league). I've been doing the same thing between D3 and D4, kinda wish we had a D3 1/2 league.

Thanks, Ctrl+V. That's one of the most unique names I've seen. Yes, had to look twice when I saw you in Utopia with me. Tons of fun this season.

Nice to get a reply. Lots of guys out there I'm sure read any posts in the forum, but are entirely too bashful to post themselves.

Yep. The Bulldogs were also in IV.58. That was the best and most fun league I've been in. Kind of wish I never promoted out of there. Heh. I know what you mean about a division 3.5. I think I don't think I take this game seriously enough to ever stick or get above 3. But it's still fun nonetheless.

I really enjoy BB, although, to be truthful, I really don't know a whole lot about basketball in general. Baseball/softball, yes. Bowling, yes. Almost anything else, not so much. I do the best I can here, usually have a pretty good D4 team, would like to be a better D3 team, time will tell.

Well basketball is my sport, I have a good understanding of other major sports, but basketball is the only one I've really followed all my life (played in high school). I've been a Warriors fan since I was a kid back in the 80's and since about 1985 I've watched every single Warriors game. It's kind of pathetic I know. The ironic thing is, now that they have arguably the most dominate team in history I've been feeling like kicking my Warriors habit. I guess I only like them when they suck and they've done plenty of that over the years. But seriously, the real reason I feel like not watching, is due to the NBA itself and the horrible officiating. At this point, I think I'd much rather watch college ball, where everyone plays hard, and there are no BS superstar calls and traveling on every other play, etc.. It just seems purer to me.

But anyway, yeah, Buzzerbeater only loosely resembles real basketball. I think the more you know the sport the more you realize this game is kind of silly. But it's still good fun nonetheless. I think D3 is where you get a lot more players who are really serious and have the mechanics all figured out. Personally, I'm not sure I ever read the manual all the way through. Heh.

I had a stint in D2 for awhile, but never had the right team to promote. I had invested in scouting so I thought itd be time to get a good trainee.

I'm glad to see some familiar faces. Hopefully this keep my attention more this season

Sports analysts love to talk about pretenders and contenders before the kickoff league.
What do you think guys? Your team is a pretender or contender righ now?

I was checking the team's salaries and there are some interesting stats...

We have 2 big contenders:

Unedible Nut $ 371 044 (Top 5 players 338k)
The Coolness Factor $ 345 410 (Top 6 to 10 players 114k)

6 teams spending +200k a week Contenders o pretenders?

Stanton Stallions $ 246 223
shm $ 240 784
Forza Juventus $ 227 419 (Close to become Bot)
Marin Sharks $ 218 986
GoldenBear $ 215 285
Blaserz $ 203 150

8 teams under 200k salary per week Just pretenders?

BC_Lituanica $ 196 736 (12/9/2016 - BC_Lituanica has just sold Alfredo Marco Lambroni for $ 2 900 000.)
Indiana Thunderstorm $ 193 027
2 left feet $ 183 399
Pleasant-Team $ 172 501
forest fires $ 159 998
Louisville Waffles $ 138 892
Delaware 87ers $ 124 037
Midwest Bulldogs $ 106 071

I'm cheking market every day. I would like to be a contender with a +220k team but big players are very expensive.

What do you think guys? Is Coolness the best team righ now? Who will be a true playoff contender?

My prediction: League Finals -- Stanton Stallions vs Coolness Factor

I'm just happy to be here, pretending to know what I'm doing.
