If you're strong inside and they aren't, you can use an inside based offense to score. On defense you'd want to use a 3-2 or maybe even a 1-3-1, but rebounding would be an issue with that one.

True what you say, and I wonder where is the point using 3-2 def at all, even if you have 3 very good outside defenders with the same OD level, why should 3-2 def be better than m2m?

Very interesting this new hint that the two insiders will defend against inside shots regardless of the shooter role.
This means if you have three equally good outside defenders and two very good inside defs 3-2 is a good choice
