Really disappointed with the new draft system.

I was in a tier III draft last year, didn't manage to scout anyone with a potential above 3 (maybe max for the tier?) and even the 5 star recruits I ended up getting had crap skills.

For my money there's too many variables with this system and far too much scouting now required.

Also, with the new salaries I've gone from making about a 20k loss per week (which balanced out overall with TV ratings), I have now gone into 100k debt as I was knocked out the first week of playoffs, so haven't been earning revenue for 2-3 weeks. With my best players all now costing me over 10k each (top 13k) I'm kinda screwed as I can't afford to keep them.

Really puts you off the game.

How many players do you have on your roster? What division are you in? Have you thought about selling one or two of your highest waged players? How many seats does your arena have? How many of those do you sell at a home game? What are your ticket prices?

I scouted 30k / week for the whole season and got three losers. But, guess what... It's just a game. Surely if a poor draft is causing you unhappiness you ought to find another.

God luck!

I have 15 since the draft and am now in Division 2 (Australia only has 3 divisions), I'm trying to offload a couple of players at the moment and have fired one already. Can't do much else to minimise the damage on player salaries.

My arena has 5580 seats at the moment, when I'm winning it's typically close to sold out. I'd like to increase the capacity, but you need money to do that.

I would suggest that you cut your roster back to 12 or 13 for the bulk of the season. Use the money from the couple sales you make to increase your stadium, and use at least half of each tv revenue to increase your stadium. My stadium seats twice what yours does. I have only played two seasons, so it doesn't take too long to get a bigger stadium. Hopw about ticket prices? If you are selling out, raise your prices a little, especially for the most expensive seats. You can run a little test as well- charge 20 for your bleachers- see how many fans come, then see at what price a full house equals the same income from charging full ticket price. the next month change it to that price, and then increase your seats.

I am sure you can do it. Good luck.
