Hey guys,

I was wondering starting from what level of diving and handling the elastic effect increases a lot the speed of other skills. I mean for example starting from diving and handling at 10-11, other skills that are 6-7 grow much more faster.

And would you focus on bringing up as quicker possible driving and handling and then concentrating on defence or grow them together?

Thanks

Sam

Elasticity has 2 sides...negative and positive. If the skills are too disproportionate to other related skills it can slow down the training of the highest skill. If i were to make a recommendation, not more than 5+ skill points. Just to keep enjoying the positive elasticity. Handling and Driving are the most over trained skill as a rookie. Being a former u21 mentor (almost 8 seasons) this is my opinion having experienced the negative aspect of elasticity.

My opinion is to pull DR up to level 14-15 no matter what other skills are first (that means first 2 seasons). This way you can experience double pops even in 21-22 yo players. I had DR17 while JR2 and OD3. Next week the speed of JR training was about 1,6 level (made pop from 2 to 4). You can make 5-6 JR/OD pops in 8-9 weeks even in 21 years. I go for driving first (when you dont mind high DR player). It looked i could save up to 6 weeks of training this way in 10 seasons. Not done yet but I strongly believe in it.

Concerning elastic training my opinioon would be to have the skills of driving and handling +2- +3 more than the others and then you need to catch up those afterwards.

In my opinion Driving -14 and handling 14 for any player.

Of course 14-15 outside defense if it's a Point Guard or a Shooting Guard as a rookie.

Any other opinions?
