I played for a little while a gridiron simulation call I think red zone with a style that was somewhat similar to BB. One of the more interesting features was the ability to dictate what your team does in certain situations. Now I would not want quite that level of detail to gerrymander each and every action but in winning time it would be nice to be able to have options.

As it is when your behind in the final minute and it is close (12 points and less) the trailing team fouls then at the other end yacks up a three soon as possible. How about the ability to start doing so a little earlier, say the final 2 minutes. And how about having the ability to tell your guys in those circumstances to get to the rim, get a quick 2, extend the game. And how about for the team ahead there would be the ability to better dictate what you want done in end game situations. IE DON'T foul a shooter, focus on defending threes, automatically put in best FT shooters, things like that. I know this would be a fundamental coding nightmare but one that I think would be worthwhile.

There has always been a standpoint from the BB's that being able to watch games as they play should not give an advantage.
And since I very seldom can watch my games and many others with me, this would be a very large handicap for us. And a very big advantage for those that can.

The situation he is describing is more like pre-match instructions (at least if it's the game I believe it is, I spent some time there as well). So, for a hypothetical example, maybe there could be a setting for "End of game three point priority" where you could set a range of point differentials where you want to have your team shoot threes ASAP, and a point in the game to toggle that. So team 1 may choose to play the last two minutes shooting from outside if down between 3 and 15, while team 2 may choose only the last 30 seconds and only if down between 3 and 6 (and I, of course, would choose the whole game if not ahead by 25).

I don't see this type of conditional logic really working with the game engine, unfortunately, based on what little we've been told about the complexity of modifying it. But it would be a nice thing if it were possible.

Players would be filled with more fouls, puting the training effort in danger.
