So what is it like at YOUR arena? What's the layout? What are the concessions like? How good/bad are the fans? In essence, what is the EXPERIENCE at your enclave?

"Generals Mayhem"

location: Greensboro Coliseum
Capacity:10,715

Greensboro Coliseum is naturally located in Greensboro NC and has been home to the Generals since season 15. Black curtains are all drawn over the majority of the mezzanine leaving a capacity of 10,715. On the coliseum grounds there is also a smaller exhibition hall along with War Memorial Auditorium. Also on site is the ACC basketball museum.

Food & Beverage: 4 stars. An eclectic and varied selection of food stuff is available. Hot dogs are $4, $5 with chili. Pizza is from local legend Bills Pizza and is $8 for a individual pie. Pepsi products are offered in bottles at $4 and in fountain souvenir cups for $6 & $8 (includes one free refill). Also there are independent stands offering items such as Tacos $4, keilbasa (w/peppers & onions) $7. On occasion such delicacies such as ribs ($15 for a half rack, $20 on a full (includes slaw and fries) and Philly steak and cheese ($10) are offered.

Atmosphere: 4 stars. A historic venue home to some great moments in basketball history (IE 1974 Final four) it is best known for hosting the ACC tournament more than any other arena. Due to seating constraints the cavernous nature of the arena is not in full play but the venue offers excellent sight lines. Actually the experience of a Generals game is a little dependent on what level of experience you purchase. The bleacher sections are carnival seating and your quality of seat is entirely dependant on your commitment level. Three sides at this point are earmarked as carnival seating so if you are gung ho enough you can be right up front. To avoid stampedes fans are allowed into the arena in groups of 500, and if your being obnoxious or aggressive going in security has free reign to taser you and do not hesitate to do so, every home game there are a few tweaked out Hicks who get drug out of line drooling and convulsing.

But that does not mean the club and court side fans are being short changed. First off these sections have their own unique enterance, no need to mingle with the riff Raff. Court side seats though pricey for come with a pregame buffet built in to the price courtesy of Golden Corral (the Generals official training table). Luxury suites are catered events with the vendor of your choosing though we recommend Catering by Ellyn.

During nice weather on weekend home dates a robust tailgate scene is on display in the parking lots.

Solid pre game pomp and circumstance is a big plus and the use of "Funky Fanfare" by Keith Mansfield as the theme for the introduction of the starting lineups always gets the fans frothing.

Also a unique feature is the "little Generals" marching band which is really more of a pep band but they are fun to watch, though the selections tend to skewer a little too much towards cheese ball territory. But if you can handle material such as Shipoopi, Zorba the Greek, and the 3rd man theme you will be well entertained.

Fans: 2 stars. Wavering between overtly bigoted trailer park trash and indifferent snobs the separation between the types of fans in attendance could not be more striking. Bleacher bums are loud, obnoxious, crude and profane, sitting in the carnival sections is a ticket to the freak show. Don't plan on sitting.

The club level seating is rather bourgeois, lots of 42 year old soccer moms with their henpecked mates telling you to sit down because little Tiffany can't see McClain clank another poorly advised three point shot.

Court side is more engaged but extremely cliquish. Luxury suites are the domain of corporate sponsors and the environment is self evident.

10k seats is like 2 stars... I am about to have 12k seats within next upgrade and I am in division 4. Bleachers sale a lot more at my stadium but I am almost done with bleachers. We already have this discussion but every1 gets the same arena.

EDIT: I have 12k I am about to have 13k seats next upgrade to bleachers.

I think your missing the point of this exercise.

Wow I am long-winded but it's a dull Sunday afternoon.

To continue:

Neighborhood: 2 stars. The only real place to eat in walking distance is Stameys BBQ which is a fine local institution. The usual array of fast food and mid range options apply in relative short distance but the options before and after the games are pretty rote.

Access: 3 stars Parking is cheap ($5) and plentiful but if your that big of a skin flint to short change there be prepared to walk at least 4 blocks. The area itself is working class and is safe enough to walk around in though not particularly well lit so be aware.

Return on investment: 2 stars, a middling team with somewhat expensive pricing and a environment that can turn sketchy. Really not the best place for those of rival colors (oh security will tase you just for that if the mood strikes them). I guess it's a good enough time if you happen to be in the area but by no means a bucket list destination.

East Side Arena: Name is going to be changed in the upcoming season after promotion and or El championship pre run
Team Name: The Flying Hoodlums is going to be changed to Japan University and or one of the 2 major universities in the state
Location: Chocowinity Nc

12k seats next upgrade will be 13k seats once bleachers are done. Our first primer pro franchise in the city of Chocowinity Nc run by currently announced candidate for the house seat of Beaufort County Nc County Commissioner representing the town of Chocowinity Nc

Food and Beverages : 2* people love to eat before the game and contraband the snacks into the game as the food and beverages prices are expensive as we are the main engine for at least 30 counties around us City appendix puts us at 2,500 citizens in the town 5 mins away with uptight little Washington who thinks their are better than us but does not have a pro franchise yet.

Atmosphere: 5* Just imagine Duke Blue Devils hostile arena well now you got East Side Arena but closer seats to the opposing team and court

Fans 3*: Tail gating while they are 15 mins away from East Carolina University where people tailgate to party and get drunk to say at least fans pay a lot more for seats and or season ticket package and or boosters.

Neighborhood 3*: Country resides in this town and it has a few country fags in place which I despise. Cypress Landing the main attraction is the most expensive land in the town and drives the most income come here for a few golf rounds and uptight coffee and tea

Access 5* : Run by candidate and youtube profession self employed by 2 owned companies online and 1 under construction the owner makes sure the celebs who come to the pro games are surely treated very well and respected by others

Return on investments 5*: Spending on a team the 1st season has sky rocketed the pre hoodlums into a little El Championship run and have the best path to get to the championship and a steady championship game. The business have not been in debt and should make over a million next season 10 games or less with promotion and a chance of competing at the very start of division III.

Little Washington is a beautiful town. Love the waterfront, good restaurants, nice people. I know it well, I did live 20mi down the road for five years. Good place to take a date. And yeah it's better than the 'Boro as the gate city has totally lost it's groove as is getting boat raced by Charlotte and Raleigh. I also have family in LW and actually spent quite a bit of time there when I was a child. In fact the home where my great aunt and uncle lived in, and in which my cousin still does is one of the homes shown on the historical tour.

I have a idea... Chocowinity has a high school/middle school/primary school all in a section of a town and on the main road. The house I live at the acres beside it is really set for a basketball arena and that is the perfect place to put a 2nd pro team would prefer NBA now... This town is built right and so is Little Washington.

So what if I get into lower politics work myself up then once I have enough backing try to push for a pro team in my hometown. It would skyrocket this place over Little Washington also many surrounding areas and mainly East Carolina University would be able to compete for a ACC bid and get into the ACC without a question. Sounds like a great idea my front yard and the acres across is the perfect place for a brand new stadium. Idea just randomly came across as this thread fit the purpose.
