Here's a mid-season ranking because I found some time to do it
1. Rochester Select (11-1) (2) (EFFG + 82.4) Only loss came to #2 and it was with less enthusiasm on the road. They are the only remaining team in the cup from our league.
2. Pirates of the Caribbean (11-1) (3) (EFFG + 71.5) Their success so far this season comes largely due to their ability to shoot and defend the three. #1 in 3pt % at 46.9 and #2 in opponent 3pt percentage holding opponents to 28.3%.
3. lakenation (11-1) (1) (EFFG + 68.1) Although they beat #2 they have been less effective in other games and fall to #3. Rank #4 in NET EFF per game.
4. Hey Kid Want Some Candy (10-2) (5) (EFFG + 99.9) A couple early losses in the season looked bad, but since then it’s been completely different with a league leading Net efficiency of 99.9 and the leagues leading defense.
5. The Indy Avengers (9-3) (3) (EFFG + 58.5) Their 9-0 vs teams 6-16 and 0-3 vs teams in the top 4. They face #2 this Saturday with a chance to change that.
6. St. Louis Spirits (8-4) (6) (EFFG + 66) One of the rare teams that runs a full court press they have forced 22.4 turnovers per game yet defense is where they lack as they rank #9 in defensive efficiency. Their offense has been on point and is rank #1 as they lead the league in assists as well.
7. Fuzzy Leprechauns (8-4) (7) (EFFG + 47.5) Although a newer team they’ve been quick to assemble a high paid roster as they have the #4 highest paid team in the league trailing only the teams ranked #1-3 in these rankings. While they’ve played well the high salary players have yet to make them into a contender.
8. International Champions (5-7) (13) (EFFG + 33.7) Although they have a losing record they have outscored opponents by an average of 12.4 ppg. Probably due to the growing number of bots in the league. They may begin to drop though as the manager hasn’t logged on in a little while.
9. Boom is Art (6-6) (10) (EFFG + 20.6) They sit comfortably in a playoff spot in the Great 8 due to a strong defense. However their offense scores much less than any of the teams above.
10. Tucker ATLiens (5-7) (13) (EFFG - 20) The drop off from #9 to #10 maybe be one of the biggest gaps in the league, but this new team has done well for lack of time played.
11. Kaydan (4-8) (9) (EFFG - 22.3) Went from a borderline playoff team last season to losing twice as many games as they’ve won.
12. The Full Sendertons (4-8) (13) (EFFG - 39.3) About to go bot.
(13-16 are all bots)
MVP Race (Based on past experience MVP’s are usually picked from one of the top teams and rating sometimes factors in a bit more than traditional stats)
1. Marco Barros (lakenation) 22.8 ppg, 8.2 apg, 2.1 spg, 58-50-85, avg rating 15.0 - The clear frontrunner leads the league in rating while ranking 2nd in points and 1st in assists per game. The only downside is that he’s only played in 9 of the 12 games.
2. José Javier Goiriz (Pirates of the Caribbean) 21.5 ppg, 5.3 apg, 52-48-88, avg rating 11.2 - He leads the 2nd best offense in the league as he ranks 3rd in scoring and knocks down just over 2 3-pointers per game.
3. Joachim Daleki (lakenation) 20.1 ppg, 5.0 apg, 11.6 rpg, 63% FG, avg rating 11.1 - The reigning MVP is having a very solid season but ranks 3 due to the success of his teammate. I wouldn’t be surprised if he ends up at #2 as lakenation had 3 of the top 4 players in the vote last season.
4. Joel Dixon (Rochester Select) 11.8 ppg, 11.6 rpg, 1.4 bpg, 55% FG, avg rating 13.2 - He’s been the best player through 12 games for the best team and puts up the 2nd highest rating in the league.
5. Bruno Fanesi (Fuzzy Leprechauns) 19.3 ppg, 3.8 apg, 50% FG, avg rating 13.2 - He puts up the second highest rating in the league (tied) and ranks 8th in ppg while playing under 30 minutes per game.
Next 5 (Daniel Babčovský (lakenation), Mark Dallos (Hey Kid W
