I will voice my displeasure again
Why am I paying an overextension tax based on regular season attendance?
The numbers need to be moved in accordance with PLAYOFF revenue.
On Monday - 2 games will have been played with new numbers that should be given priority.
If I get rid of a player, his salary won't count.
So why will I pay vs attendance that is not current?

I think you were the one who originally got the over extension changed so that it was calculated based on average revenue instead of current revenue. Now you see the problem though, if your revenues go up, you might still be paying OE tax even if you have a positive income. This actually happened to me many seasons ago.

I think the way to fix this problem is pretty simple, it should be calculated in the same way, however it should only be applied to teams if they have a negative income based on their current weekly economy.

With the fan boycott, fixing this issue is even more important, since weekly revenue can now vary tremendously throughout the season. If a team was boycotted in the first half of the season, and then recovered in the second half, their average revenue could be much lower than their current weekly revenue and they could be paying high OE tax even if they're still making money.

I agree. I bought a player knowing that I will go to Div. I. I made more than enough in playoff money this week and still had to pay overextension tax this week and probably next, also.

My attendance revenue listed around $324K
Was actually over $600K last week
paid extension tax based on that number

Yeah, that's not good. Hopefully they change it this season, so you only pay overextension tax if you actually lose money based on your current revenue.

Will just put this out there again
I'm paying luxury tax against the final week's attendance numbers
which is not TYPICAL weekly income
After 19 consecutive wins my attendance revenue went down for the final game against a lousy team
My attendance revenue this week is approx $249K compared to the $184K I'm stuck with from my final game
THat was and is still stupid and unfair

I will voice my displeasure again

Just double the playoff income, if you play at your venue, or use the last home game of the season. Never paid overextension myself but then again I've always had high exceptions (nearly 400k this season) so that was always unlikely.
