This off-season was a return to my old methods of building a squad. Last season, I was gearing up to try and dominate the league, maybe even make a cup run... only to be given an opportunity to train my future star/s that was too good to pass up. This left me with three big contracts and a lot of trash around it.

Compare that to now, where even with Nayyar's contract still on the books I've been able to build something a lot more sensible around him and save a lot of salary in the process. I don't know if it's going to result in as many wins as the top heavy squad of before, but I feel that it could pull a sneaky on many teams, especially later on once my future talent has more TSP.

With no changes to his squad and few immediate age concerns, Lords of Hellfire likely go in as the favourites this time, but the season is long and rosters seldom remain static across the league.

An annoying first phase of the season between the injuries and a couple of close L's. Had I flipped one of those losses I'd be in the title hunt, but I can take consolation in the fact that no-one has distanced themselves so far.

Fair warning, I may consider buying up for the play-offs if not earlier. I would've actually added a better SF to my line-up already, but some pillock outbid me even though the price was already a bit of a mark-up (though not to the extent that the seller originally wanted).

Whoa! That’s crazy. Thanks all for the seasons of fun in II.2.

Now I need to work out how to survive Div.1 with an ageing roster and trainees as a focus

Congratulations. There's some pieces that obviously need replacing but I wouldn't say you're in bad shape going into the ABBL. And even if it does go pear shaped for you, the money you get from just making it to division 1 is substantial. I'm also quite flattered that you went on to win the league because my team did come reasonably close to winning that quarter-final on the road.

Thanks Jay, home court definitely helped with that win.

I do have 6 solid players to take up. 4 over 100 TSP and the 2 strong centres. Might try and add an experienced guard to the roster.

Should I expand the stadium? And probably need to up the ticket price too. It’s been such a long time in D.II.ive forgotten these things

I'd argue that, with the exception of the Courtside Seats, your fans balked at last seasons ticket prices. This won't happen this season because you're the hot new act in the ABBL, but I do think you could stand to gain from a Lower Tier expansion and maxing out of the Luxury Boxes.

From there it's just a matter of tweaking ticket prices, something that's a lot easier to do now that any change you make comes into effect immediately.
