Mostly because of bad trainning plans. Trees players. Not communicating with player owners (yeah owners, players are the slaves here, its now the NBA
). I agree there used to be like bellow average NT managers. I am always rofling irl when ex-lbbl managers cannot promote from div 3 even with twice as big salaries as opponents. That tells the average level of managers of that time. Now the competition is bigger before managers from lower leagues built up their arenas, trained their players and pushed bad managers out. This is good, it increases competetivity and experience. I believe the overall experience and knowledge about the game is now way higher than it was like 25 seasons ago.
You ment Consolation Turnament? Or generally? How many players you know skills?

My advice to you would be not to get very cocky, or you might fail big this season.
