I have become used to the way this game works, but it’s still right what you‘re saying. I didn‘t want to lose my cup-game last Thursday but I also needed to win my two home games in the league in order to have a chance to stay in the league. I still tried to win but my subs weren’t good enough even with HCA. It‘s possible to play all three games with starters and train gameshape - but that‘s not a permanent solution. And it‘s also possible to have a very big roster with high salary-players - but that‘s impossible to sustain for a long time because of luxury tax etc.

But like you: I don‘t have a solution for this. The solution for myself is to decide beforehand which is more important to me: cup or league. And I usually decide for the league...

It could be a solution to add one more game (friendly match) to adjust weeks minutes of your players, and to play cup game without adding any extra weekly minute, like bbb's games.

It's a complicated thing to solve, however, moving scrimmages to say Wednesday or Monday and then having cup be similar to B3 where it doesn't take up enthusiasm or give training minutes is a solution. If you really wanna know who the best team in a country is, not having to make them juggle 60-70 minutes for players in 3 games is probably a start.

Great idea, punish teams for resting star players, like its done in the NBA, instead in BB do that through merchandise/attendance.

Maybe fans should get angry when starters don't play in a league game. So it would cost money to the team.



Well, in my opinion fans already get angry a lot, even if you lose a game against a stronger team in OT. Still attendance drops and hasn‘t been solved in agood way (even if it was attempted). So yes, maybe it‘s a solution - but that would still not solve the cup issue. Shouldn’t the fans also get angry if you don’t play your star players in the cup? Really hard to solve, that one...
