Season 47 is well under way. And it's too interesting, at least in half the EBBL, not to have a thread.

Over on the blue side, the league is a two horse race between its consistent multiple champion and former NT Coach, Vecx, and the pretender to the throne, Bergkamp - the coach who earlier this season promised not to stand for NT coach until he'd won the EBBL title - so never then ;-)

How about them reds tho'? The real story of the season is the intense parity on the red side of the league with any one of seven teams still in contention to emerge as champions - with the obvious exception being Gauson (who never win anything).

Just kidding! The red is fascinating and wide open, any team can win it and no less than six red teams can still, in theory, win the double. The times they are a changin' !!!

As it's a bit late in the day to vote on the league contenders, I've decided to make the poll about the tournament, so without further ado...

Poll:  Who will win the tournament in Season 47?

Think some people might want to change their vote once they see the draw.

Ouch. One game away from being three games away as well. Still, Bergkamp can't afford to drop an EBBL game if he wants to be NT manager one day and that means trying to win three games this week if he has eyes on the double, so who knows????? I'd be watching his EBBL line up this week closely

I agree that Bergkamp can't afford to drop another league game if he wants any chance of home advantage, but I suspect he might think he has the best team left in the Cup and he probably isn't as sure about being the best in the league. Certainly I'm expecting him to completely throw the game against J Dogs.

Red is pounding the blue side for the first time in recent memory though.

The red side doing better in the relegation playoffs probably had a little to do with that, as well as us getting probably the two best promoted teams.

I think Bergkamp has a good chance of getting out of the blue side, but I'll probably take whoever has HCA between him and Vecx.

I agree with both comments.

Also, that I'm able to aurvive with the same team as last season and J Dog is also doing ok means the difference betwewn D2 and D1 is smaller than ever.

Agree again but with the slight caveat that not all the D2s are equal.

Today could be the first time ever that all Reds beat Blues in away games. :)

Yeah, we were super lucky, didn't deserve to win that at all...
