Hi, so I've been preparing for drafts this season and hoped to pick good rookies in it. I am 100% sure that I have submitted my draft order (i did it several times), and the first 4 player I chose were like this:

1. 18yo, 183cm, A, 5 salary/4 potential
2. 18yo, 211, B+, (i am not sure about this, but he was 210+), 4/4
3. 18yo, 211cm, A+, 5/3
4. 18yo, 226cm, A+, 5/3

Well, I dont expect to you take a look at every player before my pick, so these players were selected:
1. 19yo, 183cm
2. 19yo, 193cm
3. 19yo, 185cm,
4. 18yo, 213, 1.5k salary
5. 18yo, 196cm, 3.7k
6. 18yp, 213cm, 1.4k
7. 19yo, 185cm
8. 18yo, 190, 3k

So, none of these players are similar to the first 4 of my picks, right? So, I shouldve picked someone of them!

Wrong! I picked this player:


DMI: 0
Age: 18
Height: 6'0" / 183 cm
Potential: perennial allstar
Game Shape: respectable
Jump Shot: respectable Jump Range: respectable
Outside Def.: mediocre Handling: mediocre
Driving: respectable Passing: inept
Inside Shot: awful Inside Def.: pitiful
Rebounding: awful Shot Blocking: atrocious
Stamina: awful Free Throw: pitiful

Experience: atrocious TSP: 44 (35 + 9)

And the other 2 picks weren't even close to the ones on my draft order.
So, as you can see, something is DEFINITELY wrong with the drafts, at least in my division.

So your first 3 picks were 183, 211 and 211 in height, and your first 3 in your draft order were, errrr, 183, 211 and 211.
This sure seems wrong so far!

Ok that's not really my style of post on these forums or these days. Are you just confused about the potential bit? 3 is star/allstar and 4 PA/superstar from what I recall. It'd be nice if there were more 5 potentials out there, but there just isn't...(there was 1 in all of the EBBL draft this year)

The player you got fits the description of your first pick, so I don't see a bug there either.

The player I scouted had 5 balls salary/A or A+ grade. The player I picked is a 44 TSP useless piece of shite, not worth 1k in the market. Do you see the problem?

It makes me think that scouting is a completely useless practice.

It is. I just drafted B+/5 stars, stat line was insane like 46 points, got hall of famer 44sp I basicly relegated because of taking risk getting this one, but atleast i had a shot on it. It is absolute trash, bad secondaries, no defence...low heigth.

Basicly from experience i can tell you, it is very risky to take anything below A+ i mean anything. And lvl 4 potential is perennial allstar or superstar. lvl5 MVP+. Anytime you picking A, A- or B+ it is a wild risk.

Yeah, I am really disappointed with the outcome of the drafts.. I tanked to get a better picks, even lost against bots, invested around 300k and I got nothing.. Except for one player which is decent enough to train, but even then I though his TSP will be a bit better...
From what I can see, it's far better to just buy trainees in the market.

Your own draftees give extra mechandise profit, which can be pretty significant. Also you never know, you might draft 3 very decent players and sell for like 6-7m total. It happens. My co-worker had drafted last draft 61 skillspoint hallf of famer and like 59 skillpoints mvp and 65or so perenial superstar. Sold for close to 4m first two and training third one This draft pretty shitty for both of us by the way.
