We had a situation last season where the winner was the guy who puts his name forward in every election and never writes a speech or a forum post. There was no communication with this guy for a week on forums or BB-mail after he got elected and he didn't call up players. In the end we managed to remove him just before the first game, but it goes to show that even in BB there is always a chance even if you didn't really deserve it :).

Looks like we have another top candidate at the 'not sure how I got this and what I'm supposed to do' NT job. The guy has a total record of 4W-43L in the regular season for his career and still managed to win the NT election.
Look at this game

I thought about going after the Ireland u21 gig, but none of those guys ever communicate of the forums and as a whole they come off as proverbial playa haters. Good luck to anyone getting that gig!!!
The biggest challenge though is not getting a NT or u21. That's all about looking for the right opportunity. The big issue is , especially in a micro, is gathering enough engagement to make things happen, that is unless your like Misr and you have a couple of guys who will corner the market and develop a farm system in house. This happens by giving regular updates, communicating with managers, staying on their asses in a polite but consistent manner regarding development....oh yeah helps if you can win some games!

Some would question the need for a guide when random people get elected even decently active communities. That said, yours are good points in most circumstances.
