Very quiet since Joe is not here anymore
Joe if you have some time to spend you are always welcome to write in this Forum too

Well looks like AmenRa will easily win all the competitions again...
It is not the first time he had the best team. At the end of 2016 he sold almost all his best players as they got old (Zausnig, Totori, Undritz, Bilmanis, etc.)
Then he spent a lot of seasons in lower divisions and came back a few seasons ago with investing almost 17M at once.
Looks like that this strategy is paying in order to win titles so all my respect

I forgot to make a preview, but I don't see anyone challenging AmenRa this season again, especially since Asingratitos, the other high-profile team, sold Doubek (Holody is very good, but not as good as the Czech NT was).

I nevertheless still think it's perfectly doable to maintain a BBBL spot while making money in order to "tank" difficult seasons waiting for a good trainee to pop up or any good opprtunity to claim a trophy, but it's common for a championship contender to spend some time in the lower divisions (I expect Basket Mizu Arlon to get back to BBBL very soon).

I always thought spending 10.25 M on a 18-yos was a terrible idea, but Devenyn is worth every penny he was paid for. It leaves me thinking I may be doing something wrong, especially when it comes to training. I train good player, not great ones, and I fear this taking a heavy toll on my trophy shelf.

I want to believe the same as you, that it is possible.
In any case I would not like to “disappear” for 3 years (real life) and come back only for a few titles and “disappear” again.
And with all my respect AmenRa had a very good planned strategy as despite Devenyn he also bought Iatros and Bosco. He trained them for a long time in lower divisions and 2 years later added Wiekiera to the Team. He waited patiently until all Buston’s players got old and with all the money he saved from tanking during all that time added Haesaerts, Maragkozis and Tobin to the already strong squad making him the best Team.
Will Mizu come back and do the same when AmenRa’s players will get old and start everything all over again? LOL

Whatsoever if I want to believe that it is still possible to win titles by staying non stop in the BBBL than I will just have to prove it.

Takis has proven that it is possible to stay in the BBBL for years even as a loser

I have been in BBBL since season 23. Now that Joe has gone down (not that I fancy that whatsoever) I have a very good chance of being the team staying for the longest in BBBL.

That's 26 seasons done. Out of those seasons I made it to the playoffs 24 times. From those I made it 3 times to the championship's finals (1 win) and 3 times the the cup's finals (2 wins - actually I went to the finals a 4th time but I was in D.2 that season).

That's not an impressive record (although I am delighted at those titles, of course - especially the Cup win against AmenRa which came as a huge surprise to me) - maybe I would have been better off shining from time to time and go down for rebuilding in the meanwhile ?

I just don't like the idea of going down unless I must because I couldn't hold my ground. At least all seasons are exciting. Tanking and optimizing training is something I'm doing with my Utopia team, and it's not really a great load of fun. Well, seeing the players make constant progress is fun, but not caring about wins and losses isn't.

I'm really starting to worry. Will any games be postponed due to the coronavirus ?

LOL, imagine an injury in the game instead of “stomach virus”, “CORONAVIRUS”...2 weeks off...
And had planned to go to Venise...the moment I told my destination to that black cat @takis, the city was infected...
