I was thinking that the game would be much more realistic if a player who is fouled in a game gets a little bit downgraded in his performance after that foul. If he is fouled a lot, he will be downgraded a lot too.
What I mean is, fouls should be treated as they are in RL basketball, you don't just foul an opponent. You foul him, but make sure he "remembers" the foul.
I know that there's a risk of injury on every foul, but that's another thing. I'm talking about performance here.
A fouled player could get his abilities diminished whenever he is fouled and come back strong again after a rest time at the bench. Like a stamina recovery after sitting for a couple of minutes.
A team full of aggressive players may have a place in BB, like the Bad Boys did in the NBA. Aggression causes a player to foul, it can cause a rival to play worse. The way it works right now is that those players just have an "injure rivals" probability higher than normal.
Also, we could stop seeing games where a player scores 60+ points using Patient strategy. Not that I'm against it, but it's very unrealistic and it would soften if that player gets his strength diminished after each foul he receives.
Does it make sense? Does it already work the way I suggest and I wasn't aware of it?
