Okay, so here’s the thing....
I’ve had a few days to think about this and whether or not it’s worth posting but here I am

This game is a disgrace in so many aspects it’s not even funny
I’ve been playing since season 10 (had a different team for my first 20 or so seasons, left and then came back)
If I remember correctly, this site once had between 60-100k managers in the database ?
Right now, it sits at around 13k and there is a plethora of reasons as to why and that’s exactly why I’ve come to the forums (which I rarely do)

Firstly, match simulation. WTF is the method based on ?
Because I’ve had a number of seasons where I’ve clearly been the dominant team and then bottled it in the finals
This season being a great example
I can understand if the top teams loses to a team that just scraped in every now and again, but this shit happens all the time in this game
The guessing of other teams tactics is a joke and way too OP. I can guarantee Washington know how the Bucks play on a nightly bases but do you reckon that gives them the edge ? Hell no. Basketball isn’t AFL. It’s not as simple as saying ‘oh this team only shoots 3’s, let’s just defend outside and that’s an easy dub’
Again, Warriors wouldn’t have been so dominant for such a long period if this was the case

Secondly, improvements and memberships
We’re what, 50 seasons in?
What does this game have to show for that ?
There’s been minimal improvements and any improvements there has been, they’ve been very minor
Why TF do we not have an option to control match day yet ? Like call timeouts and use subs at the exact moments we want
50 seasons and you’re telling me that we’re still playing the same game with the only difference being the OP guessing tactics ?

I’ve also been happy enough to pay for my 3 month membership every time it runs out but now that I think about it, for what?
To see a few extra stats, have a private game and to auto book a scrimmage ?
Is that seriously why I’m paying $15 a month ? In a game that only has 13k players ?

I’ve played almost 40 seasons of this game (as to have my brothers and cousin) and this game is very close to losing 4 more players. It’s a shame that after all these years, there’s not much improvement to show for its existence
You’re rapidly losing players and I’m not surprised in the slightest

Need I even mention that I also had 3 of the top 5 MVP candidates including the winner ?
Makes more and more sense every time I look at it .... 🙄

Obviously I didn’t mean dominant for that particular game... hence losing it in the first place
In what world would anyone think they dominated a game in which they lost most statistical categories ? 🥴

Also, ‘maybe you should get better shooters’, probably do your research
Run and gun is what got me top spot and an MVP.... but we’ll talk about that another day, right ?

I obviously mean throughout the season, you don’t just dominate and then flop in the first round. Yes going ‘normal’ was a risk and at the end of the day, the wrong choice. But based on past match ups with him, it really should not have made that big a difference at all
Just because it’s playoffs, it doesn’t mean the opposition is automatically 100x a better team than the regular season
This is supposed to be a basketball simulation right ? Because the way I see it, the results are way too misleading for the work that’s put in during the regular season

Also if that’s the reason that guessing the tactics was brought in, then that’s laughable
Balance and tweak the match day simulation until it’s actually based on player stats and tactics chosen instead of having an OP system that wrecks the game
Because like I said earlier, knowing the oppositions tactics means sweet F all in the real world and that’s where this game fails
Because it doesn’t feel anything like real basketball when results are all over the place because of a guessing system

Game shape is completely different because I could not give a stuff about setting up my team for Thursday’s game
Hence the drop
Obviously wasn’t like this in the PO game

I also meant $15 every 3 months but regardless, the argument to that still stands

I’m not asking for help but thanks for your input

Again, game shape was probably not much worse at all because I look after my game shape and clearly did not give a stuff about it for Thursday’s game, but hey, good try.
