One extra promotion spot will be awarded to the team with the best regular season record (ranking being the most important criteria)


This statement is somewhat vague. Which team gets promoted: the one with the best win-loss record, or the one with the highest world/country rank?

I'm actually still unclear on this. Does this statement only apply to Division VI and lower? Otherwise, it's impossible to guarantee that spots are available for both the conference tournament winner and the regular season conference winner.

For the higher divisions, four of the five relegation spots are filled by conference tournament champions. That leaves only one remaining spot. What is the criteria for filling this fifth spot? I assume it's the 'best' team, but is that determined by win-loss record across the whole division, country rank, etc? I couldn't find this explicitly stated.

II>I 1 extra promotion spot
III>II 4
IV>III 16
V>IV 64

If conference champions promote winning their leagues, they don´t fill these spots.
Remember that´s better to finish first with 11/11 record, than to do it second 21/1.
