I know skill distributions/height/potential have a huge impact.

But, how would you grade the distribution of draftees?

Say

Top tier: 18/MVP+/60 TSP?
Mid tier: 18/PA/55 TSP?
Lowest sellable: 18/Allstar/50TSP

(Not sure how the age 19 picks map onto it. Assuming you get (at least) 10 pops during the age 18 season, I've never seen age 19 draft prospect that would be comparable to an 18 year old)

Let me ask this then: I have 400k saved for a new trainee. Is that enough to buy a quality 18 year old (MVP pot)? Obviously, I can just wait for the bidding wars for all the draftees on Thursday, but I'd like to know ahead of time so I can narrow down my search/bookmarks.

I'm working on maximizing the amount of fun I'm having by playing this game lol. I am not new to this game, just haven't played since about S30. I want to have a long term trainee or two because that's fun to me, not for purely competitive reasons. I fully understand that my arena is woefully underdeveloped and cash is king right now. Unless you can sell me on the idea that building my arena is fun, I think I'll buy some trainees lol. I have no need to be competitive right now, half of my league are bots.
