I do not know if this is categorized as a bug.

Before the first financial update, the TV contract should not yet be updated and this should be the TV contract of the league we are in in the previous season.

However, it seems that there is a sideway to know the TV contract of the new season.

In the Economy tab, we can see the player salary floor. (For example, in my league, I see that it is $ 260 044.)

It seemed that it is already updated somehow, which is 245%, 190%, 130%, 100%, depending on whether it is in Division I, II, III, or IV. So we can use that piece of information to figure out the TV contract for the current season (For example, I am in Division II, so the TV contract should be $ 136 865).

Is that accurate for the upcoming season? And is this a bug?

Thanks for the reply.

As the first financial update in S53 has finished in Asia (on time this week!), just let me make an update.

1. The minimum salary for the leagues was updated and fixed at some time during the offseason process. So there was no change after the financial update.
2. The TV contract, which is not available to the players before the financial update, seems to be consistent with the minimum salary, which was displayed at the Economy tab before the first tab. So, the TV contract was actually computed but disabled during the offseason.

However, I found another bug.

For Division II, it was stated in the user manual that the minimum salary was 190% of the TV contract. However, it seems that this is not accurate. The actual number seemed to be 187%.

For instance, in my league, it is about $260044/$139061 = 187%. I collected the data from a few leagues and it seemed that 187% is the current number.

Well, as I am below the minimal wage, I hope this is not fixed though ;p.

Hehe, that's an interesting question, whether that's a bug. I think it certainly wasn't intentional, but it's not wrong either. I did the math on mine:

Lower salary limit: $ 578 945
Weekly TV contract $ 239 729

It's 241.5% and not 245% as I can see from the rulebook. Otherwise, the "lower salary limit" should be $ 587 336.

Hmm interesting. I tried to check them on the III and IV leagues I have been in, and they seemed to be accurately 130% and 100%.

So it was only Divisions I and II for which the salary bound has deviated from the manual (to 241.5% and 187%, respectively). Still wondering if these numbers are consistent in other leagues though...
