BuzzerBeater Forums

My name is BB-Mark, and I’m one of the founders of BuzzerBeater. I really wanted to make an effort to be more active in some of the national forums, and I'm very excited to be the BB representative to the Lithuanian community.

I’ve created this sticky thread to better communicate with you guys as an official BB liaison to Lithuania, and I will try to check and respond to it often. I don't speak Lietuvių, unfortunately, so I will probably be posting in English – if someone could help by translating my posts (including this one), it would be very much appreciated.

We really feel that the bigger our community, the better the experience is for all of our users. I would like to ask for your help expanding our Lietuva community. There are two ideas I wanted to put to the community:
- If there are any big basketball or sports forums you know about or in which you are active, we would love to have a presence on those forums. If anybody knows some places that we should contact (or even better, runs one of these sites and wants to make an exchange), do let me know. Recently, thanks entirely to the efforts of GM-ZyZla, we arranged for a news post and banner ad exchange with a Lithuanian forum, and they established a BuzzerBeater folder on their site for us – we got over 500 users in the first week as a result!
- We have also been asked to do interviews with the local media, and we’re more than happy to have the publicity. If you have any contacts at local or national newspapers, magazines, or other media, we are certainly free for an interview if they want to do a piece on us.
- If you have any creative ideas for things we may do, I’m open to suggestions!

If there are any complaints specific to Lietuva, please do let me know. For example, we recently found that people in Serbia were not able to use our PayPal system to purchase the Supporter package.

Finally, we have had a couple complaints about the banner ads shown on the site. These ads are provided by a banner ad network, and in most countries it is very difficult to control whether the ads that are shown are appropriate for our audience. If anybody knows of a company that wants to advertise on BuzzerBeater, we'll gladly pay you a commission on anybody you find that can help us serve better and more targeted banner ads.

Thanks for your help with this. Lithuania is one of our biggest communities, and I would love to see it continue to grow!

Mano vardas BB-Mark ir aš esu vienas iš BuzzerBeater steigėjų. Norėjau pabandyti būti kiek aktyvesnis šalių forumuose ir džiaugiuosi galėdamas atstovauti BB lietuvių bendruomenei.

Sukūriau šią temą, kad galėčiau geriau bendrauti su jumis, kaip oficialus BB ryšininkas Lietuvoje, tad pasistengsiu kaip galima dažniau čia apsilankyti ir atsakyti į jums rūpimus klausimus. Deja, nekalbu lietuviškai, todėl greičiausiai rašysiu angliškai. Jei atsirastų galintis padėti verčiant mano žinutes (įskaitant ir šią), būčiau
labai dėkingas.

Kuo didesnę bendruomenę čia turėsime, tuo įdomiau bus mums visiems. Norėčiau paprašyti jūsų pagalbos plečiant Lietuvos bendruomenę. Turiu keletą pasiūlymų:
- Jei žinote didelių krepšinio arba sporto forumų, ar esate ten aktyvūs, norėtume juos žinoti. Jei žinote puslapių, su kuriais galėtume bendradarbiauti (ar netgi patys tokį turite), praneškite. Nesenai, GM-ZyZla pastangų dėka, pradėjome bendradarbiauti su lietuvišku forumu. Apsikeitėme reklamomis, forume buvo sukurtas specialus BuzzerBeater aplankas. Viso to rezultatas - pirmą savaitę prisiregistravo virš 500 naujų vartotojų.
- Davėme interviu vietinei žiniasklaidai ir esame patenkinti tokiu reklamavimosi būdu. Jei turite ryšių su vietiniais ar visos šalies laikraščiais, žurnalais, su kitokio pobūdžio žiniasklaidos priemonėmis, galime duoti visiškai nemokamą interviu.
- Jei turite išradingų idėjų apie tai, ką dar galėtume padaryti, galite jas išsakyti.

Jei yra nusiskundimų būdingų tik Lietuvai, praneškite. Pavyzdžiui, nesenai sužinojome, jog Serbijos žaidėjai negalėjo atsiskaitinėti už rėmėją per PayPal.

Galiausiai, turėjome keletą nusiskundimų dėl banner ads pasirodymo. Šie ads gaunami iš keitimosi tinklo, todėl daugumoje šalių juos sunku kontroliuoti ir pritaikyti tinkamai auditorijai. Jei žinote bendrovių, kurios nori reklamuotis BuzzerBeater, mes mielai sutiktumėme jums už tai sumokėti.

Ačiū už jūsų pagalbą. Lietuva turi vieną iš didžiausių bendruomenių, ir aš norėčiau toliau matyti ją augančią!

Yes, we know about this bug, and are working on fixing it. I will let you know when it works properly again.

one big question if there gonna be effect on heigh someday?

what do you mean?

He means about height, when players in the game will be efected by them height that 185cm, can't play in center position
