Hello, what formula is used to calculate free agent prices ? And why it seems so different that current player prices ? Is that on purpose ?

For small nations, is very difficult to keep this players, in a specific example, a free agent 20 year old player, salary 5674 and potential 8 is selling at initial price of 56.740 $, when you see in the estimated prices of transfer, similar players were sold between 4000 and 7000.

a few weeks ago, a player on national team free agent, old but good, went to free agent and was lost from NT because nobody could bid on him, being good but old and with big wage, was on sale for something like 600.000 when other player similar to him are much cheaper

anyway, my question/suggestion would be should not free agent prices follow the estimated prices range that the system already gives ?

I understand, that is why my suggestion is not to put their price at 0, instead used the "suggested value" instead, so they would be priced at current similar players value, otherwise they seem to be always lost

You're right about that. Not always lost, but most of the time. And in the case of some (lower priced) players, that's really a shame. I often thought: that's a nice player - just 200k too expensive when the estimate is 120k eg. But on the other hand: the estimate does change quite often. And if they'd get bought (a lot of those players) at those estimated prices, the estimate might log in as a fixed price ... and that might decrease prices on the market again. But maybe lowering the starting price to 5 times the salary, maximum of 300k (250k seems a bit low imho) might work ...

Agree all free agent National team players should be set to 0.00 to make sure they are sold and not lost. NT players are always wanted so will sell for fair price.

Another suggestion is to set it at the same amount as the salary.

how about if a free agent is listed as $500k and he doesn't get bought, after his auction ends he gets re-listed for half the price but the re-listing can happen maximum 2 times. i.e 1st listing at $500k, 2nd listing at $250k then the 3rd listing goes at $125k if neither of these work then the player retires.

Sounds reasonable. Would be great!
