Are the teams that promote without winning the final (as 5 teams demote from each division now) strictly chosen based on record? And is the tiebreaker PD? I couldn't remember if it is any different than bot promotion and if it is what are the differences?

Great, thanks. Is conference ranking just your placement in your conference based on regular season record or does it include playoffs and making the Finals?
