So I have been tracking every Princeton game I play.
The usage, FGA, 3PA by position, skill level, and highest in the lineup.
The takeaways are...
1. Usage is spread fairly well PG to PF but drops significantly for centers.
2. If you have a shooter you want to highlight you more than likely want them to have the highest JS and JR in your lineup.
3. JR is prioritized highest for attempts (2pt and 3pt) than JS but only slightly.
One Outlier ...
This may just be my configuration of players, but the lower the passing at any position the higher the usage.
Hypothesis:
This may be because, turnovers = higher usage.
Or it may mean that a player gets stuck with the ball and shoots because of low passing skill.
Either way if anyone has a JS/JR monster with low passing this may help him get more looks if you don't mind him being a black hole from time to time.
