Having highlighted that the position in the individual rankings of players has a decisive influence on merchandising, it would be appropriate to reevaluate the impact of garbage time on matches.

Now a stronger team clearly respects another makes the players play on 24/28 minutes .. or half the game .. clearly the statistics accumulated by the players in 24 minutes cannot compete with those accumulated by players who play 36+ minutes..

Furthermore, it happened more than once to win games by 10 points in which my team went into garbage time from the third quarter onwards.. what's the point of this thing?
Do you really think a coach would continue to play substitutes against the starters of another team if the gap between the two teams dropped very quickly during a match in which you are ahead by 20 points?
This thing has a heavy impact on the points difference.

In my opinion garbage time should be fully in the control of the manager. It could either be tied to the intensity setting or maybe as a different setting completely, like "allow coach to play garbage time".

There are situations when you need the point difference to get in the playoff and your players are chilling.

On top of that, and I expressed that in the past, training is tied to minutes so if your opponents are not playing their best this can mess up your training with nothing you can do.

I would also add that garbage time should sometimes apply to the losing team as well.

Take my game yesterday (125820428) (cup game, so don't care about point differential).

After 3 quarters, I was up by 40 points, so I went in garbage time, and played all subs in the 4th quarter. My opponent played his starters till the end.
Even though the 4th quarter finished 31-6 in his favor, he still lost by 15 points (and was down by 20 with 1 minute left, so it was never remotely close).

I would imagine that if one of his starters had gone down with an injury for staying in a game that was completely done, he wouldn't have been all that happy.

Probably the garbage time threshold for the losing team should be a bit higher than the one for the winning team (+20 afer 3 quarters), but if you are down by 40 at the end of the 3rd, or by 25ish with 5 or 6 minutes to play, game's over folks...

As a team manager, I always want to fire my coach.

I need a more controllable and intelligent team coach.

Training, form, net points, rankings, injuries, and many other factors are closely related to playing time, but playing time is an uncontrollable factor. This matter makes me feel hopeless. %}

I've opened two threads suggesting such a thing but both of them went down the drain T_T
