Hello,

I remember once reading somewhere that players being trained in consecutive weeks would gradually reduce training effectiveness, until four weeks in a roll where the effectiveness is only about half; after the play skipped one week of training the effectiveness would be reset.

BUT I cannot find anywhere as the source of truth for this mechanism. Is that true? If yes could someone point me to the source of its reference?

You may have confused Game shape training and other training.

Game shape training has a diminishing effectiveness, anyway its always a chance of success you may see a good result or a bad one. You have to wait four weeks for it to return to a normal chance of success.

All other skills do not behave like that and, as @perpete said, only the elastic effect changes the expected return of training.

Wow thanks guys. I've been completely mis-guided for my previous several seasons for training schedules. Now maybe it's not too late to correct them.

Sometimes you have to train GS, to play with max GS for a title for your club or for your nation because the NT coach has asked for it. And he may ask for such a training for a semi final and then for a final, knowing well that the second time it will be with less chances of success.
