Yes … the Average is a little Bit screwed since it has been changes a couple of seasons ago, that we do not pay salaries in weeks without regular Games (POs/PDs).

no it is only for playoffs, since some teams don't pay salaries in playoffs the average player salaries drops dramatically hence you see a pseudo increase in net income. it will come round in regular season.
