First off, thank you for re-electing me as U21 manager. I will continue to put in a lot of time and enthusiasm in to creating success for both the u21 and NT teams. In order for us to become more competitive on the NT and U21 competitions we need to be producing better players.
Benefits of training players to play for the NT or U21 teams:
1- Increased merchandise (Jersey sales)- You will receive around 13-15% of the players salary in merchandise if they play for the NT or U21 NT team.
2- Increased merchandise (Homegrown)- Having higher salary English players increases merchandise even if they don't play for the NT. As seen on the merchandise breakdown, 'Homegrown and Locals' is an amount given based on the % of team salary is for English players (with drafted players being a little more beneficial in this)
3- Faster experience improvements- When a player plays for the NT or U21 teams they receive higher improvements per minute in Experience.
4- Stronger players- Training players with the help of NT/U21 managers knowledge can help produce stronger players for you to have for your own teams
5- Training is fun!- Seeing those pops on a Friday is always fun to see, even better when you've been training them from the start and you've seen them blossom into a dominant player.
Requirements for NT/U21 players
Potential- For players to reach the NT team, your players need to be MVP/HOF potential.
- For players to reach the U21 team, your players need to be PA+ potential (maybe Allstar if exceptional)
Trainer level- Obviously the higher the better. but a minimum or level 5 (superior) trainer and youth trainer.
Infrastructure- Training court level 1 is a minimum to ensure solid FT ratings without specific training. The Gym is also important to create higher TSP players so having the Gym infrastructure would also be recommended in most situations.
Training plans
Each player may benefit from different training plans depending on their skills. The NT/U21 managers may also want specific player builds to be trained to suit the team/future teams. So I would suggest messaging them to see what they recommend the training plan to be to give them the best chance to get them on the team in the future. You could also message other experienced users or any NT/u21 staff.
Follow the NT/U21 games
Games are played every Monday, but at varying times of the day depending on the host country. For example, the U21 games this season take place in Turkey, so all games take place at 3pm every Monday. The NT games this season vary each week as they play 4 home games and 4 away games.
We also have a Discord community where we discuss the NT/U21 games/teams as well as other BB matters. If you would like to join the server please message me for a link.
If anyone has any interest in helping the U21 team in any other ways (such as scouting or match reports etc) then please get in touch. Likewise, if anyone has any suggestions of how to improve the engagement of the English community then get in touch to see what we can do to help.
