Sort of how NBA 2K handles simulated games, but in Buzzer beater.

Of course here it would have to be dumbed down a lot, but what if you could actually watch games that go on as opposed to just viewing the play-by-play? I bet that if AI image generation was constantly fed data about the game and knowledge about basketball in general it acquired from the vast expanses of Google and such while basing each image off of the last one, we could be able to watch our games.

Not only that, but it would be cool to see AI generating a short article about each game that happens given the box scores and play-by-plays of each game.

I doubt this would be viable, but I just thought I'd go ahead and throw the idea out here to see what y'all think.

Ok, here is what i'm thinking.

Supporting AI generation is a one way ticket to amazon patented wage cage.
It buffels me that mature people who's probably weren't raised by an android tablet actually want AI generated garbage in their life.

But we as a planet are already past of a point of no return when it comes to AI generation and our children's children will be happy to eat any AI slop that comes their way. So back to your idea.

I'm pretty sure that current AI that is availble to an indie company is not powerful enough to develop a 3D engine for a sports game that will be even mildly enjoyable. Developing such a thing by hand even with all AI asistence availble is still too expensive and what's more important doesn't guarantee profit and sucsess. So yeah probably not happening anytime soon.


Article about the game on the other hand is easily posible both with and without AI. Even FIFA MANAGER 08 had that feature and that was 18 years ago. I think it would be cool to have that implemented, especially considering that most of a supporters very rarely use press release.

Good point mate, we'll see when we get there. But in a way, it's similar to what people were saying when I was young and was playing shooters on pc :-D ... "you'll become a killer, it's bad for normal development of children". Yet I'm ok, I'd say many of us are.

To the topic of forum post... this won't be easy to develop. I'll focus on articles about matches since it's cheaper ai of the two mentioned.
This feature right now is all about the money. You can't use existing chat bots for articles like this. It's simply too expensive to do for so many matches being played. So you'd have to develop your own. If we look past gramatic and news style of writing, it's not easy to do.

For chatbot like this to work properly, they'd need to train it on real articles from NBA/euroliga focused sports news. Which allready significantly limits knowledge base for ai.

Datawise, we're still talking about TBs of articles that would have to be processed while written text is probably one of the slowest to process for ai and learn from.

So they'd need pretty expensive servers to do this kind of feature or it would suck and would be decomissioned after couple of seasons.

The fifa manager one you're mentioning wasn't really an AI. It was basically set of predefined texts which were taped together with some logic behind it, depending on how the match went.
It works for this kind of game, because you're the only one reading them so you can't compare. If we had this feature copied to BB you'd soon see repetition and it would suck also.

So they need generative ai and thats just too expensive for this kind of payment plan / donation game
