Please stop the shuffling of the lowest divisions. This ruins the chance of forming any good rivalries. I don't see the benefit of it. I went form IV.31, to IV.32. At least in IV.31, I knew I could get some interaction with Cyborgs (29605), even he got shuffled to IV.13. I just don't see the point of these division changes.

Agreed. It can also be frustrating if you take the time to scout teams only to be shuffled to a new Div IV the following season.

Come on, BB.

Any historical background or context on this, like has this happened in past seasons, what's the rationale, etc.? I just joined midway Season 67 so this comes as a surprise to me, I didn't see anything in the rules/manual/etc about this.

It has been this way since Utopia came into existence...

Other countries too...

Here in Australia, if you relegate from Div III (like I did last season) you don't go down to Div IV as there is perhaps only 1 Div IV league that isn't completely full of BOTS.

The more I think about it, I think there is some value to being 'shuffled' if the league you are in becomes significantly less competitive (more bot teams). Otherwise, it seems like it could be something that could be tidied up.

Its not about scouting to me. Seasons are super long, plenty of time to scout. Its more about relationship building.

Fair enough

It's been too quiet in OZ these days for that

If I remember right, the intention is to keep people from having their only initial experience of the game being botsmashing or getting smashed by bots. This way if you lose, you're losing to real people. And you have a season at least to get to know your real, human opponents.

Same here! We had such a good forum group last season but all the active managers were transfered to other leagues. Now we have 4 bots and 4 teams that had not signed in for the last month. Yuhu!

Yes, that was probably the intention but it didn't quite hit the mark.
Take me for example, I was in a league with humans and some bots, I won the playout and still got shuffled to another league which had other humans and bots. Funny thing: my current league has now MORE bots than my previous league :D
The same is happening to other friends of mine...

I agree with OP, stop shuffling unless it's absolutely necessary (let's say you play in a league with less than 5 active people, or something like that).
