Thanks for the question Fwinns.
What I noticed following team Canada is the great skill the team has.
Team Canada is behind their skill only with a missed opportunities to beat Americas teams and missed preparations for a better point differential against tougher appointments.
Discussing with Canadian managers, seems to be an opportunity to continue working together to identify young prospects and mold them for becoming NT caliber. It is not always easy to manage successful U21 and transform all these skilled players into NT caliber.
Needless, U21 is in great shape, and we need to increase communication with active managers to develop young prospects for U21 purposes, and young ones for NT purposes (some might take more time). We need to have a Team Canada with an average age for the starting 5 maintained at 28-29 yo. It is hard to compete with starters on their downside.
Hence, to get Canada to a more respectable ranking, we must:
- Be active
- Following up with managers
- Be strategically be ready every matchup to increase Ws and better point diff.,
- Work together with U21 NT to identify coming up players and mold them for future needs.
Looking forward to assist Canada in the process to competitive ranks!
