There are many factors that influence fouls:

-defender's defensive ratings
-offensive ratings of the attacker
-both player's stamina (if they get tired, they don't defend or attack well)
-both player's experience level
-your team's defensive ratings
-your opponent's offensive ratings
-the pace of the game (higher pace means more shots and more opportunities to foul)

As you can see, pinning it down to one thing is just not possible.

By the way, McGregor's stamina may be high, but he is not terribly skilled. I suspect that he is not a great defender?

It would be nice if the BB's could confirm or deny whether there are hidden skills/attributes. Because if so, the rumored "physicality" attribute would pretty much be the biggest "pinning it down" thing affecting fouling.

My player, Borojevic, exellent shooter (2PT - 0.65, 3PT 0.6) has 4 fouls averaging per game, and because of that he has only 26 minutes per game, although he is a starter (with an awful sub). His OD is respectable and his stamina is inept. I think it has something to do with his stamina

I'm pretty sure there is no "physicality" attribute that is hidden. I think it works pretty much as I described it.

Yes, stamina has an impact. Players with low stamina lose their abilities throughout the game (this is in the rules). As they lose their defensive skills, they are going to foul more often.

What makes you so sure?

From experience and also because I'm sure that a BB said it at some point.

Outside d is not the only factor. You also have to consider inside d. Every player can go to the basket, whether they are a SG or a C. Guards go there less often, so their inside shot will be matched up against the defenders inside d. Just something to consider.

Also, the player you mentioned seems to play at SF? So outside and inside d are extra important for him.

What about the other skills I mentioned like experience? What about the offensive skill of your opponent? Respectable in some leagues is not very good.

My top fouler, Timothy Tate, (2895388) has strong inside Def and average stamina. I play him at centre but i think his pitiful outside defence or medicore shot-blocking must be the reason for 5pfs a game. hmm.

I guess you just need to have balanced defensive skills and decent stamina. Especially if he is one of your top players.
